REFUGEE WEEK:’Leaving Home- Welcome Home’. Join the Exe Estuary Walk on 25th June ’16.

Join Refugee Support Devon, ExCoS , Kos Kindness and other local groups  on a walk from Exeter along the Exe Estuary Trail.

The Highlight Event of Refugee Week this year welcomes you on a journey. Starting at Exeter Quay there will be a number of stalls leading down the Exe Estuary Trail to Lympstone hosting activities and events for all the family. We invite you to walk, cycle or run the self-guided route along the trail with each station being marked with a stamp. Can you collect them all? It is not obligatory to do the whole walk, but you can pop in to any of the stations where there will be a range of fun games, language experiences, live music, food stands, traditional dancing, cream teas and information boards.

ExCoS will be in The Transit Shed on the Quay with our ‘Welcome Tree’.   ‘Hands of Welcome’ created on the day  will hang from the tree, with messages of welcome and support for the Syrian children and adults coming to live in our city and across Devon. We will also be hanging the hands of welcome made by Yr 6 children at Alphington Primary school during our awareness raising workshop on Monday 20th June.
